Your images

All image processing happens in your browser. Your file is read from your device, cut on an HTML canvas, and handed back to you as a download. It is never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never seen by us or anyone else. There is nothing to delete afterwards, because there was never a copy anywhere but on your own machine.

You can check this yourself: load any tool page, turn off your connection, and split an image — it keeps working. Small preferences like your light or dark theme choice are kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device.

Your use of the Site

Use the Site at your own risk. You are responsible for the content you process with it. Do not use it for illegal purposes, and do not attempt to integrate it into other applications or resell it as your own.

The Site is free and comes with no guarantee of availability. Exported files are produced by your browser, so the exact result depends on the browser, the device and the source image. Check the output before you print a poster or publish a set of posts.

Copyright

You keep every right you already had in the images you process. We claim nothing, because we never receive anything. What comes out is yours to do as you like with, including commercially, with no watermark and no attribution requirement.

You are responsible for having the right to use the pictures you split. Cutting up a photograph doesn't change who owns it.

Cookies, analytics & ads (Google)

We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics and Google AdSense to serve ads. We also use cookies for statistical purposes. By using this Site, you consent to our use of cookies.

Google uses cookies for ad personalization and measurement. Learn how Google collects and uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can manage personalized ad settings through your Google Account: google.com/settings/ads. None of this touches your images — analytics and ads see page visits, not files.

Changes & disclaimer

We may change these terms or the Site, and we reserve the right to change or stop any part of splitimage.cc at any time, without notice. The Site is provided "as is" without any guarantees.

Contact us

For anything wrong with the Site — tiles the wrong size, a download that won't start, a privacy question — write to [email protected].

For everything else, including suggestions for a tool you would like to see, use [email protected].

We read everything and answer most messages within a few working days. There is no contact form because the Site keeps no session, no database and no cookie of its own, and a form would need all three.

Reporting a problem

Almost every report we can't act on is missing one of these:

  • Which page you were on, and the address in the bar.
  • Your device and browser — "iPhone 14, Safari" is enough.
  • What you expected to see, and what you saw instead.
  • The size of the image you started from, and the layout you picked.

Two things worth checking before you write. Soft tiles are almost always a small source image — cutting a 900 px photo into nine leaves 300 px per tile. And if a download never starts, check whether your browser is blocking multiple downloads from the page, which is a common setting in Chrome.
